    How to read the labels

    • Guide there is a dedicated guide: license, requirements, install steps and warnings. 14 of 77.
    • Min. RAM 4 GB the minimum the official docs state. “No official figure” means I did not find one; I do not make it up.
    • Calculator adds up what several repos ask for on your home server. Before installing, go through the 7-step guide.
    • Open Permissive license (MIT, Apache, BSD…): you can use, modify and share the code, including in commercial projects, as long as you keep the attribution notice.
    • Copyleft GPL, AGPL, MPL and similar: it is open source and free to use, but if you share a modified version you must release it under the same license. The AGPL asks for that even if you offer the program as a service.
    • Source available You can read the code, but the license is not open source by the OSI definition: it has usage limits, for example on commercial use. Read its terms.
    • Own license Its own terms or a content license (for example Creative Commons on courses and lists). Read the LICENSE file before reusing it.
    • No license The repo declares no license. Without one, the author keeps all rights by default: you can look at it, but you have no clear permission to copy or reuse it.

Before you install any of them.

Being on this list is not a guarantee. Check its license, whether it is still maintained and what it installs; the guide gives you the order in seven steps.
